When it comes to interiors, I am torn on styles. I love modern spaces with pops of color and I also love more neutral spaces filled with antiques and curiosities. I am ultimately trying to get better at balancing the two, but it makes it harder for me to make decorating decisions. Do you clearly sway one way more than another, or do you also like to mix?

In my parents home, one of their walls was a giant map of the world and I loved it. I'd look at all places we'd traveled, and all the places I wanted to go to. Really magical addition to our home.

I always love mixing modern & vintage - I just find it too difficult to choose! Both styles are so wonderful.

I love mixing these two styles, and yes at different times I find myself pulled in either direction. And yes, sometimes it is hard to balance them. I'm always drawn to images like this that mix the two so effortlessly. These spaces feel so much more comfortable and lived in.
ReplyDeleteI'm a mix for sure, with a slight lean towards vintage.
ReplyDeleteI love mixing the two looks, but if I was to go with one standard it would be modern!!!

i with you, i'm often so torn... I love modern sleek lines, but there's something about vintage details that pull at the heart strings!

I don't yet own my own home but I imagine a bit of a mixture in my dream home. I love all of these pictures!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose I'd go for vintage though as it has so much character to it and a bit of a story to tell.
Great blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove the map wall!
ReplyDeleteI am with you - I like a mix. There is something really great about a modern interior with little hints of industrial and antiques here and there.
ReplyDeleteLovely post and thanks for the inspiring images.
